Another great pattern company is Oliver + S, which specialises in gorgeous kids wear. They’re well known for their good instructions and clear diagrams, and high attention to detail. This was the first kids pattern I tried, as a free pattern in SewHip magazine. Oliver + S also have this as a free download on their website here.
It’s very simple to construct, and lends itself to adding cute details. This was a gift, but this Spring many of these will be getting assembled. This dress was self-lined as the print could be transparent.

What do you think about this in a Corduroy fabric with thicker straps?

Very pretty and I love the fabric!
I think that corduroy and thicker straps would be perfect! I’m planning on making a similar one for my girls for this winter 🙂
Are you going to make them matching ones?
